Punjab Floods: Muslim Hands Canada’s Rapid Response
Catastrophic floods have swept through Punjab, Pakistan. Entire communities have been displaced overnight, with more than 150,000 residents forced to flee their homes. The coming hours are critical as survivors are searching for safety.
Our Impact
Muslim Hands Canada is on the ground in Sialkot, Gujranwala, and Buner, Punjab. Emergency aid is being delivered around the clock. Our teams are working with local communities to provide:
- Food Packs & Hot Meals: Over 2,000 hot meals were served today alone to families who lost everything in the floods.
- Shelter and Accommodation: We have already provided shelter to hundreds of individuals.
- Medical Care: Urgent treatment is being offered to those injured and vulnerable.
Our rapid response relies on the generous support of our donors. As the scale of the disaster unfolds, the need for humanitarian aid will grow exponentially.
In moments of hardship, your charity not only brings immediate relief but also carries immense reward with Allah (swt).
“The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah (swt) is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah (swt) multiplies His reward for whom He wills. And Allah (swt) is all-Encompassing and Knowing.” (Qur’an 2:261)
With each passing hour, more families are losing their homes, their belongings, and their means of survival. We need your help to continue providing essential relief – food, clean water, shelter, and medical care – to those who need it most.
Even in the face of disaster, hope can rise when we come together in compassion.
