Community Development: Towards a Vibrant Society
According to a 2023 report published by the Community Food Centres Canada (CFCC), more than one in five adults (22 %) live below the poverty line. Together with working in underprivileged communities internationally, we are determined to tackle marginalized and underprivileged communities locally.
Through targeted initiatives, we empower these communities, offering them opportunities to break free from poverty, exploitation, and exclusion.
Whether it's providing food, clothing, and shelter to those facing adversity, Muslim Hands is dedicated to changing lives. We also collaborate with local organizations to create sustainable solutions and uplift communities.
Through the support of our donors and volunteers, we work tirelessly to create a more inclusive society where all members can thrive.

Feeding The Needy
In collaboration with a restaurant in Mississauga, Muslim Hands Canada provides 150 hot meals to Milton Halal Food bank bi-weekly. The lingering effects of Covid-19 and the soaring food prices have made it difficult for Canadians, resulting in many resorting to food banks. This initiative is a great way to bring the community together and assist those struggling financially.

Surviving Winter
This year, Muslim Hands successfully delivered warm winter jackets, snow boots, hats, and mittens to students facing hardship at a local elementary school in Mississauga, Ontario. With the invaluable support of dedicated staff and volunteers, we assembled hundreds of boxes, each aimed at providing much-needed relief to families in our community.

Muslim Hands was established in the UK in 1993. Muslim Hands is an international aid agency and NGO working in over 50 countries worldwide to help those affected by natural disasters, conflict and poverty. Muslim Hands Canada is a registered charity with the Canada Revenue Agency (Charity Registration No. 81126 4985 RR0001).
