The following terms and conditions apply to all donations made on the Muslim Hands website.

Our agreement

When you place an online donation with Muslim Hands you will automatically be sent an email confirming receipt of your donation and any relevant additional details. To Muslim Hands, your donation represents an offer to us which is only accepted by us when we deliver a Final Receipt.

Explanation of items

We will always work towards ensuring that all details, descriptions and prices of donation items appear on our website correct, at the time when the relevant information was entered into our system. We can reserve the right to refuse any donations we believe were made, where item information has been mis-published, including prices and promotions.

Cancellation and reimbursements

Donations made through the Muslim Hands Website (https://muslimhands.ca), over the phone, or through other means, are legally made to Muslim Hands, a charity registered with the Canada Revenue Agency (Registration Number: 811264985RR0001), and ensures the gift is granted to the donor’s intended program.

The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) stipulates that a registered charity cannot return a donor’s gift. As a donation transfers ownership of the money from the donor to the charity, once the transfer is made, the charity is obliged to use the gift in carrying out its charitable purposes.

As a registered charity, we follow the guidelines set by the CRA.

If Muslim Hands is unable to carry out a project the donation is intended for or collects more funds than the project requires, the funds will be reserved for future projects within the same thematic areas, or be used as part of Where Most Needed funds.

That said, if your donation was made in error, please send us an email at [email protected] or call us immediately at 1 289 722 7272, and we will work with you to redirect your donation to a Canadian registered charity of your choice.

Security

When submitting a donation with Muslim Hands, you are agreeing to allow Muslim Hands to use your personal data, in order to process your donation. For further information on privacy and security please have a look at our Privacy Policy.

Modification of service or adjustments to the conditions

Muslim Hands reserves the right to make changes to our website, policies and the terms and conditions of donations at any time. You will be subject to the policies and terms and conditions of donation in force at the time that you use the website unless any change to those policies or these conditions is required to be made by law or government authority (in which case it will apply to donations previously placed by you). If any of these conditions are deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that condition will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition.

Events beyond our reasonable control

Muslim Hands will not be responsible for any delay or failure to comply with our obligations under these conditions if the delay or failure arises from any cause which is beyond our reasonable control. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada. You agree, as we do, to submit the exclusive jurisdiction of the Canadian courts. Muslim Hands Canada is a registered charity with the Canada Revenue Agency (Charity Registration No. 81126 4985 RR0001).
