Volunteer with Us at the Reviving the Islamic Spirit (RIS) Conference!
We are excited to announce that Muslim Hands Canada will be participating at the 23rd annual Reviving the Islamic Spirit (RIS) 2024 Conference.
Date: December 20-22,2024
Location: Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
Booth numbers: 1008, 1108, 1011, 1110, 1109, 1208, 1111 and 1210.
This is your call to volunteer and make a difference in the lives of the underprivileged, while being part of an inspiring event that unites thousands of Muslims from across the world.
The Muslim Hands family tirelessly works in 50 countries worldwide to help people affected by poverty. We empower communities, providing emergency relief, food, shelter, education, and health to the vulnerable. Volunteering with us can jump start your career and prepare you for leadership positions in any field. Volunteers will enjoy complimentary tickets to RIS Conference, along with a food voucher as a token of appreciation for their support.
Muslim Hands will showcase a range of exciting and interactive booths, where you will engage with the community, have fun while collecting funds for Gaza!
Special Activities at Our Booths
Face Painting - A favorite for children and families, face painting is a wonderful way to bring joy and unite the community.
Volunteers will:
- Help Set Up: Organize face painting supplies and prepare the booth.
- Engage with Children: Assist the face painters by guiding children through the process and making sure they’re comfortable.
- Raise Awareness: Inform families about how their participation helps fund vital aid for Gaza.
Boxing Arcade - This high-energy, action-packed arcade game will draw in attendees looking to have fun.
Volunteers will:
- Guide Participants: Show attendees how to use the boxing machine, and answer any other questions they may have.
- Direct participants into the queue in an orderly fashion, ensuring they understand where to stand and what to do.
- Collect donations: Encourage participants to donate for each game, reminding them that their contributions support those in need.
Maintain a positive, energetic vibe by cheering for participants, celebrating their successes, and encouraging friendly competition.
Henna - An intricate and culturally tradition, henna designs offer a festive experience for participants.
Volunteers will:
- Apply henna to participants and give them a beautiful, culturally rich design.
- Ensure that everyone feels comfortable and excited to get their henna applied.
- Collect donations for Henna
Batak Machine Challenge – This high-energy challenge is all about speed, reflexes, and competition!
Volunteers will:
- Assist participants: Help them get set up and explain the rules of the game.
- Encourage players: Cheer them on and create a lively atmosphere.
- Collect donations: Encourage players to donate before they play, with proceeds supporting Gaza’s emergency relief efforts.
We also need volunteers to distribute material about our work and inform attendees about Muslim Hands’ initiatives in the areas of healthcare, education, disaster relief, and emergency aid.
Engage with people, answer questions, and raise awareness about how our efforts are making a difference in the lives of those in need, especially in Gaza.
