Floods Leave Millions Stranded

The Prophet (saw) said, 'The example of the believers in their affection, mercy and compassion for each other is that of a body. When one limb aches, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever'. [Bukhari]

Days of deadly floods in Bangladesh have resulted in 23 lives lost and 5.7 million in urgent need of assistance.

Monsoon rains have ravaged 11 districts in the south-eastern regions of Bangladesh. Homes have been destroyed, roads and railways are damaged leaving flood victims without food and clean water. Victims can be seen wading through the ferocious waters trying to reach higher ground.

Muslims Hands teams are on the ground providing food, water and other necessities to the people of Bangladesh.

In remote areas, blocked roads have hampered relief efforts increasing the risk of waterborne diseases.

It could take months if not years for the lives of those affected to return to normal. Stand with the people of Bangladesh in their hour of need.

We urgently need your help to provide life-saving assistance to survivors!
