Give Communities the Precious Gift of Life

785 million people around the world who don’t have clean water. That’s one in 10 people globally. And despite our tedious efforts, 2.2 billion people still lack safely managed drinking water worldwide. Without this basic need, disease and child mortality rates increase dramatically.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “The greatest form of charity is providing clean water to those in need.” Muslim Hands assesses the water needs of vulnerable communities, constructing different types of wells.

Your support means women no longer spend hours fetching water from dangerous sources, children can go back to school, communities can stay free from diseases, and agricultural lands can flourish.

Our work doesn’t stop once we build wells. We train local families to maintain wells so countless people can receive this precious gift for years.

Give the best form of Sadaqah Jariyah, the gift of clean water.

'The Messenger of Allah (saw) was asked, "Which charity is best?" He replied, “[Providing] water"'.
