Muharram also known as Muharram-ul-Haram marks the beginning of the Islamic New Year.
Prophet Muhammad (swt) referred to it as the sacred month of Allah, making it a perfect opportunity to get close to our creator. This year, Muharram starts July 30th and ends August 27th, 2022.

It is encouraged to refrain from wrongful actions during the month of Muharram, and maximize on good deeds such as fasting, giving charity, and engaging in abundant Thikr. This is a month during which both good and bad deeds weigh heavier on the scale, as such, we should try our best to follow the noble teachings of the Quran and reflect on the Sunnah of the Messenger (saw).
