The Thrill Of A Lifetime!

EdgeWalk is the CN Tower’s most thrilling attraction and the first of its kind in North America. It is the world’s highest full-circle hands-free walk on a 5 ft- (1.5 m-) wide ledge encircling the top of the Tower’s main pod, 356m/1168ft (116 storeys) above the ground.

The Cause

7 million people will go blind this year, mainly because of easily preventable diseases. Over 90% of those people live in developing countries; Africa is the most vulnerable continent of all.

In these communities, cataracts are the leading cause of blindness and are usually the result of a lack of optical help and the infrastructure to combat treatable diseases.

Diseases like cataracts can have a detrimental impact on their victims, and can even cause blindness.

When people hear the word "blindness," many assume that severe vision loss is permanent and cannot be cured. In the case of blindness caused by cataracts, vision usually can be successfully restored with cataract surgery and implantation of an intraocular lens (IOL).

Muslim Hands’ eye clinics make these treatments readily available to all, with those who would otherwise be unable to afford healthcare benefiting from the free services.
