The Cause

800 million people around the world do not have access to clean water, the most basic necessity of life, and as a result face detriment to their health and prosperity. Thousands of people die each year from preventable water-borne illness. It is estimated that a new-born dies from infection caused by lack of safe water every minute. The burden of collecting water miles away ,often from unsafe water, usually lies on women and children meaning they have less time for work and study, keeping them trapped in a poverty cycle for life. Access to clean water saves lives and provides a more prosperous future to those in need.

Muslim Hands works globally to provide people with access to clean water and sanitation.
With your support, we will build a Dig a Well in the country of your choice, that can serve up to 200 people, providing access to clean water for drinking, washing and cooking, as well as keeping livestock hydrated. On average, these wells serve up to 35 families.
