In Pictures: A Weekend of Warmth & Community in Downtown Toronto
In December 2025, Muslim Hands teams offered warmth, nourishment, and care to members of the community facing the winter months. Across two days, staff and volunteers worked tirelessly to ensure essential winter gear and freshly prepared meals reached those who needed them the most.
On Saturday, December 13, outreach teams took to the downtown core, distributing 250 hot meals and 250 winter gear kits at key intersections, including Queen Street & Jarvis Street, Queen Street & Sherbourne Street, and Jarvis Street & Shuter Street.
On Sunday, December 14, 500 hot meals were prepared on-site by Muslim Welfare Canada staff and volunteers, and we provided a dine-in service for vulnerable communities. 250 winter kits were also distributed during meal service. Each kit included an insulated jacket, hat, gloves, socks, and a scarf.
