About the Collection & Artist

About the Collection

This collection is rooted in memory.

Nargis Naqvi draws inspiration from the women she has encountered throughout her life—women drawing water from desert wells, preparing meals for generations, leaving behind their homes to begin again in unfamiliar places, and carrying unspoken emotions with remarkable strength.

Using layered textures, bold colours, and expressive forms, she transforms these experiences into visual narratives that honour courage, heritage, identity, and hope.

Each painting becomes more than a work of art—it becomes a conversation across cultures and generations.

Meet the Artist

Nargis Naqvi is a Saudi-Canadian artist of Pakistani heritage whose work explores the beauty, resilience, and emotional depth of women across cultures.

Having lived across multiple countries, her artistic voice bridges East and West through layered mixed media compositions that celebrate identity, memory, and belonging. Her work is held in private collections internationally, while her public art can be found in several locations across Ontario.

Every painting reflects a lived experience—inviting viewers to connect with stories that are both deeply personal and universally human.
