Sponsor an Orphan
Your Zakat can provide an orphan with food, clothing, education, and the care they need to thrive.
Feelings of anxiety, stress, and sadness are part of the human experience. Islam reminds us that Allah (swt) is aware of every struggle we face and that no soul is tested beyond what it can bear. Turning to du’a during difficult moments can bring comfort, clarity, and strength to the heart.
Du’a is not a replacement for professional care. Seeking medical or mental health support is encouraged when needed, alongside spiritual support and remembrance of Allah (swt).
Du’a for Anxiety and Sadness
This supplication was taught by the Prophet Muhammad (saw) to seek protection from worry and emotional heaviness.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحُزْنِ وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ وَالْبُخْلِ وَالْجُبْنِ وَضَلَعِ الدَّيْنِ وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ Transliteration: Allahumma inni a‘oodhu bika minal-hammi wal-huzni wal-‘ajzi wal-kasali wal-bukhli wal-jubni wa dala‘id-dayni wa ghalabatir-rijaal Translation: O Allah (swt), I seek refuge in You from anxiety and grief, weakness and laziness, miserliness and cowardice, the burden of debt, and being overpowered by others
Du’a for Stress and Overwhelm
When life feels heavy and uncertain, this short du’a helps place trust back in Allah (swt).
حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ Transliteration: Hasbunallahu wa ni‘mal wakeel Translation: Allah (swt) is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs
Du’a for Darkness of the Heart
During moments of low mood or emotional heaviness, this du’a asks Allah (swt) for light and relief.
اللَّهُمَّ أَخْرِجْنِي مِنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ Transliteration: Allahumma akhrijni minaz-zulumati ilan-noor Translation: O Allah (swt), bring me out of darkness and into the light
Du’a for Worry and Inner Strength
This simple phrase reminds us that all strength comes from Allah (swt).
لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ Transliteration: La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah Translation: There is no power and no strength except with Allah (swt)
A Du’a for Immediate Help
The Prophet Muhammad (saw) would recite this du’a during moments of intense distress.
يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيثُ Transliteration: Ya Hayyu ya Qayyum, bi-rahmatika astagheeth Translation: O Ever-Living, O Sustainer of all, I seek help through Your mercy
Turning to Allah (swt) during moments of anxiety and sadness is an act of courage and faith.
Alongside du’a, giving sadaqah (link) can lighten the heart and invite Allah’s (swt) mercy, so consider donating through Muslim Hands Canada and sharing hope with those in need.
May Allah (swt) grant calm hearts, renewed strength, and ease after hardship. Ameen.
