Through the United Nations (UN) World Food Programme and International Organization of Migration (IOM), Muslim Hands Canada is working to distribute aid in Gaza.

What is the situation on the ground in Gaza?

Conditions on the ground remain dire. Approximately 1.6 million people are facing acute food insecurity in Gaza. Over 100,000 children and 37,000 pregnant and breastfeeding women are at risk of acute malnutrition. With infrastructure damaged and the health care system collapsing, millions remain displaced without clean water, food and medical care.

Is Muslim Hands Canada currently distributing aid in Gaza?

Yes, we are working through the UN World Food Programme and the International Organization of Migration on the ground to distribute bread parcels, emergency food parcels, tents, and hot cooked meals for families facing the catastrophic effects of conflict.
