Easily Calculate Your Zakat 2026

We understand that giving Zakat is not just an obligation but a sacred responsibility (Amanah). This is why Muslim Hands handles your Zakat donations with the greatest care.

To make the process of giving Zakat easy, we have created a Zakat Calculator that breaks down your assets in categories (i.e. cash, gold, silver, savings, investments, liabilities etc.).

The amount of Zakat you need to pay will be determined once you have calculated your net assets. You will then be able to determine whether your net assets are equal to or exceed the Nisab threshold.

“And establish prayer and give Zakat, and whatever good you put forward for yourselves—you will find it with Allah.”

(Qur’an 2:110)

What is Nisab?

Nisab is the minimum value of wealth a person must possess in order to be obliged to pay Zakat.

The Prophet (saw) calculated Nisab at a rate equivalent to 87.5 grams of gold or 613 grams of silver. Nisab is calculated by converting this rate to your local currency.

Since we don’t use silver or gold as a currency, checking current market rates can help you determine the exchange value of Nisab rates.

Today's Nisab Value

Gold Nisab

$17,153.95

Silver Nisab

Zakat Calculator FAQ's

Is Zakat on income or savings?

Zakat is calculated on the total value of your Zakat eligible assets, not just savings or income.

Every sane, adult Muslim whose wealth meets or exceeds the nisab must give 2.5% of that wealth as Zakat.

Zakat eligible assets include gold, silver, cash, savings, and business assets held for one lunar year.

Use the Zakat calculator above to check your eligibility and calculate how much Zakat you need to pay.
