GoFundMe: GoFundMe is a popular crowdfunding platform that allows you to raise funds quickly and easily for a personal cause, charity, or community projects. It’s user-friendly, widely recognized, and enables you to share your campaign on social media. GoFundMe connects you with a wide network of potential supporters worldwide.
CanadaHelps: CanadaHelps is Canada’s largest online fundraising platform for charities, providing a secure and trusted way to raise funds for registered charitable organizations. How to I submit funds that I’ve raised?
Email Transfer: You can transfer funds to the following email address: donation@muslimhands.ca
Telephone: Call us at +1 (289) 722-7272 to submit your donation with one of our donor specialists. Our donation line is open from 9 AM to 5 PM (EST), Monday to Friday.
Post: You can submit your donations by mail via cheque or postal order. Please make your donations payable to ‘Muslim Hands Canada’ and send to:

Cheques must be drawn from a Canadian bank account and postal orders should be obtained from the post office. Please do not send cash in the mail.
Can I use the Muslim Hands Canada logo?
Reach out to our team at mail@muslimhands.ca and we will provide you with a logo that you can use for your fundraising initiatives.
What if I am unable to raise enough funds?
Connect with us and we will work together to ensure that you meet your fundraising goals. Our donor specialists will work with you to support your fundraising journey.
Can I fundraise in a public place?
Yes, you can fundraise in public places in Canada, but you must first obtain the proper permits from your local municipality and follow all relevant bylaws.
Can I collect cash donations?
Yes but we recommend logging your donations using our SponsorMe form so that you can keep track of donors and their payment method. When submitting your donations to us, please ensure that you are not sending cash, but an email transfer or a cheque or postal order via mail. Cheques must be drawn from a Canadian bank account and postal orders should be obtained from the post office.
Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes, inform donors that they can claim a federal tax credit of 15% on the first $200 of eligible donations and 29% on amounts exceeding $200. Muslim Hands Canada is a registered charity, and we ensure full legal compliance.
Can Muslim Hands promote my fundraiser?
Yes, get in touch with our team! We would love to help in any way we can. Make sure to tag us on social media and we will share your campaign with out network of donors.
Can I fundraise in honor or of someone else? Or someone that is deceased?
Yes, absolutely. In Islam, fundraising in honor of someone or in memory of someone who has passed away is permissible and highly encouraged when it is done with sincere intention (niyyah), for the sake of Allah.
This is considered Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity).
Can businesses sponsor or partner with my fundraiser?
Yes, reach out to us and we’ll help ensure the partnership aligns with our mission and offer co-branding options if appropriate.
