From every $1 you donate, 80¢ is directed straight to the field to support your chosen project or appeal.

10¢ goes toward generating additional funds.

What are admin funds and why are they necessary?

The 10% of your funds that go towards our admin cost are used to ensure that our team is properly equipped to make sure that your donations can reach people who are most in need. That includes equipment, infrastructure, employing our teams, office rent and supplies, and expenses for our volunteers. Muslim Hands is an international NGO that operates in over 30 countries in 4 continents. While the majority of our funds are spent towards funding projects directly on the ground, our admin cost ensures that our team is properly equipped to do the necessary work to deliver support to some of the world’s most vulnerable communities.

Why does Muslim Hands Canada not have a 100% donation policy?

To deliver life-changing programs around the world, Muslim Hands Canada invests in both impactful projects and the infrastructure needed to sustain them.

Up to 10% of donations may be allocated toward fundraising efforts that help generate additional support for our programs, while up to 10% helps cover essential administrative costs that enable us to operate effectively and responsibly.

We believe in being transparent about these costs because trust, sincerity, and accountability are fundamental Islamic values. Every donation entrusted to us is an Amanah - a sacred trust - and we are committed to managing it with care and integrity.

How much money do we raise from donors?
