Each new day is a gift from Allah (swt), and an opportunity to begin again with gratitude, intention, and remembrance. Starting the morning with du’a helps centre the heart and place trust in Allah (swt) before the day unfolds.

Du’a Upon Waking

This simple supplication thanks Allah (swt) for life and reminds us of our return to Him.

الحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ Transliteration: Alhamdulillahil-ladhi ahyana ba‘da ma amatana wa ilayhin-nushoor Translation: All praise is for Allah (swt) who gave us life after causing us to die, and to Him is the return

Du’a for Forgiveness at the Start of the Day

The Prophet Muhammad (saw) taught this powerful supplication as a way to seek forgiveness and protection from sin.

اللّٰهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ Transliteration: Allahumma anta rabbi la ilaha illa anta Translation: O Allah (swt), You are my Lord, there is no god worthy of worship except You

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ Transliteration: Bismillahil-ladhi la yadurru ma‘asmihi shay’ Translation: In the name of Allah (swt), with whose name nothing can cause harm
