Turning to Allah (swt) During Pregnancy

Pregnancy is a time to ask for ease, wellbeing, and protection for both parent and child, while placing full trust in Allah’s (swt) mercy.

Du’a for Protection and Safety

This supplication was used by the Prophet Muhammad (saw) to seek Allah’s (swt) protection for loved ones.

أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ Transliteration: A‘oodhu bikalimaatillahit-taammah min kulli shaytaanin wa haammah wa min kulli ‘aynin laammah Translation: I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah(swt)  from every devil, from every harmful creature, and from every harmful, envious eye

Du’a for a Healthy and Righteous Child

This beautiful du’a was made by Prophet Zakariya when he longed for a child.

رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِن لَّدُنكَ ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَةً إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ Transliteration: Rabbi hab li min ladunka dhurriyyatan tayyibah innaka samee‘ud-du‘aa Translation: My Lord, grant me from Yourself a good and pure child. You are the Hearer of supplication

Du’a for Ease and Mercy

اللَّهُمَّ رَحْمَتَكَ أَرْجُو فَلَا تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ Transliteration: Allahumma rahmataka arju fala takilni ila nafsi tarfata ‘ayn Translation: O Allah (swt), I hope for Your mercy. Do not leave me to myself even for the blink of an eye

This du’a seeks Allah’s (swt) blessing for the entire family, asking for love, peace, and righteousness.

رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ Transliteration: Rabbana hab lana min azwajina wa dhurriyyatina qurrata a‘yun Translation: Our Lord, grant us comfort and joy through our spouses and children
