Du’a for Pain Relief
Relief Through Remembrance
Pain, whether physical or emotional, is one of life’s difficult tests. Islam teaches us to turn to Allah (swt) in moments of discomfort and hardship, seeking relief, strength, and patience. Allah (swt) reassures us that no soul is burdened beyond what it can bear, and every hardship carries wisdom and mercy.
Alongside medical care and practical treatment, du’a helps soothe the heart and reminds us that true healing comes from Allah (swt).
Du’a for Pain in the Body
The Prophet Muhammad (saw) taught a simple practice for moments of physical pain. Place your hand on the area that hurts, say Bismillah three times, then recite the following du’a:
أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ Transliteration: A‘oodhu billahi wa qudratihi min sharri maa ajidu wa uhaadhir Translation: I seek refuge in Allah (swt) and in His power from the evil of what I feel and from what I fear
Du’a for Relief and Healing
This well-known supplication places full trust in Allah (swt) as the source of all healing.
اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ النَّاسِ أَذْهِبِ الْبَأْسَ وَاشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي لَا شِفَاءَ إِلَّا شِفَاؤُكَ Transliteration: Allahumma Rabban-naas adhhib il-ba’sa washfi anta ash-shaafi laa shifaa’a illa shifaa’uk Translation: O Allah (swt), Lord of mankind, remove the harm and grant healing. You are the Healer. There is no healing except Your healing
Finding Comfort Through Du’a
Pain can draw us closer to Allah (swt) when met with patience and remembrance. Du’a allows us to express our weakness, seek comfort, and trust in Allah’s (swt) care during our most vulnerable moments.
As we turn to Allah (swt) for relief from pain, giving sadaqah is a beautiful act of compassion that seeks healing for ourselves and others, so consider supporting Muslim Hands Canada and transforming hardship into hope.
May Allah (swt) grant relief to those in pain, replace hardship with ease, and bless every struggle with healing and reward. Ameen.
