Wheelchairs for Children with Disabilities
Imagine a lifetime of being housebound and dependant on others to move even short distances. Wheelchairs bring the joy of mobility and independence to children who have a mobility impairment.
Empower children with disabilities through education and essential support.
According to UNICEF, nearly 240 million children worldwide experience some form of disability.
Muslim Hands Canada supports children with visual impairments, learning disabilities, and those who are deaf. Currently, we have partnered with Al Muddassar Trust, in Pakistan, working for the rights of these children and their families.
Sponsor a child with a disability in Pakistan for just $60 a month ($2 a day) and provide them with essentials such as meals, healthcare, a secure environment, and specialized services, including rehabilitation, vocational training, and education.

And lower unto them the wing of submission and humility through mercy and say: ‘My Lord! Bestow on them Your Mercy as they did bring me up when I was small.
Our motto at Muslim Hands is to help anyone who requires assistance, irrespective of his or her religion, gender, ethnicity, or country of origin.
Upon sponsoring a child, you will receive a sponsorship pack that contains information about the child and a recent picture. Thereafter you will receive an annual feedback report updating you on the child’s circumstances, their performance at school as well as a new picture.
You can also request an update on how your sponsored child is getting on by sending an email to mail@muslimhands.ca. Please include your donor ID and child ID within the email.
You can sponsor your child yearly, with the option of making monthly donations. However, we encourage you to support a child until he/she reaches the age of 18.
Yes, your sponsorship is Zakat-eligible. Please ensure you specify this when setting up your donation.
It would be ideal if you could provide 60 days’ notice so we can find a replacement sponsor for your child. If you cannot do this, in the interim, we will support your child through the General Children Fund until the child finds another sponsor. If you cannot sponsor a child, you can continue supporting children with disabilities by donating to this Children with disabilities fund.

It may be possible for you to visit your child at your own expense. This is determined on a case-by-case basis. If a meeting is permitted, representatives from a Muslim Hands office supervise the visit.
