Aqiqah for Girl
To offer an Aqiqah or sacrifice for a newborn child is the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (saw).
An Aqiqah involves the sacrifice of one Goat or one Sheep for a girl, with the meat being distributed to disadvantaged communities.
It can be offered at any point after a child's birth, but it is recommended to perform it within the first week.
Celebrate the birth of your newborn and share the joy with those in need through the Muslim Hands Aqiqah service.
Once your Aqiqah has been completed you will receive a feedback photo of the Aqiqah being carried out.

What Happens Next
- 1 We will instruct a field office to carry out the aqiqa within a few days.
- 2 The meat is distributed to those most in need, who also make dua for the child.
